John Bolton urges Europe and NATO to back Trump's plan to protect Strait of Hormuz
Former US National Security adviser, John Bolton, has urged NATO and Europe to support Donald Trump's plan to open up the Strait of Hormuz.
Mr Bolton, who served in the first Trump administration, said Europe was more at risk from Iran than the US.
NATO and EU countries have been unwilling to offer military support to the US president's plan to provide escorts to shipping in the Strait.
