League Sunday: Armagh embrace the kickout, 'scary' Kerry
Armagh stormed back from 11 points down to beat Dublin at Croke Park on Saturday night, and on Allianz League Sunday, the panel zoned in on a key facet of their victory.
Enda McGinley was very impressed with their "super aggressive" strategy on the Dubs' kickouts.
Kieran McGeeney's men were also excellent off their own, with McGinley pointing out: "From the 50th minute they got 1-14 off kickouts, both their own and Dublin's."
Roscommon enjoyed one of their best league wins in years to end Donegal's unbeaten run at King and Moffatt Dr Hyde Park.
McGinley hd lots of praise for the Rossies, but he wasn't sounding the alarm bells for Donegal.
"Donegal, they looked flatter than they usually do," he said. "They got themselves into a game-winning position in that second half. They're usually so ruthlessly efficient in terms of converting their chances into scores.
"They got back to two points, they got back to one point in that second half, and yet Roscommon held on. Donegal will be a wee bit frustrated about that. We know they're one of the top teams.
"I wouldn't take away too much form them in terms of their rating based on today, but certainly from Roscommon's point of view I thought they stood up really well, and following on from a really poor performance against Dublin, I thought they responded brilliantly."
Paul Flynn liked elements of what he saw from Cork during their 1-31 to 2-19 win against Kildare in Division 2.
Flynn highlighted the Rebels' "really positive attcking play that they can build on".
There was also analysis of a "scary" looking Kerry, who overpowered Mayo.
McGinley and Flynn discussed the Kingdom's system, which is maximising the power of their brilliant attack while maintaining a solidity that makes them so tough to penetrate.
"We watched all the football this weekend, there was excellent football," said Flynn. "But Kerry were the best team by a distance if you ask me."
