Israel hits city's seafront promenade and threatens invasion in the south
Israel has intensified its bombing campaign against targets in the Lebanese capital.
The Lebanese health ministry said eight people were killed at Beirut's Corniche seafront - where hundreds have been seeking shelter after fleeing their homes in the city's southern suburbs.
Israel has also indicated it may invade the south of the country, where Hezbollah is operating.
