Chrysler Introduces Refreshed 2027 Pacifica, Opens Orders
The decade-old Chrysler Pacifica is getting another update, this time for the 2027 model year. Highlights include a refreshed exterior design, new safety and convenience features, plus more advanced technologies.“Chrysler created the minivan 43 years ago, and we fully intend to continue leading the segment we invented,” said new Chrysler CEO (and still Dodge boss) Matt McAlear. He replaces Christine Feuell, who left the company just days ago for personal reasons.Read alsoOnce again available in three trim levels—Select, Limited, Pinnacle—the 2027 Chrysler Pacifica sports a new, more modern front fascia with vertical LED headlights and an illuminated grille featuring a unique signature that designers call "piano keys." This is complemented by a redesigned bumper and a reinterpretation of Chrysler's winged emblem, as first seen on the 2024 Halcyon concept.Photo: Stellantis
New body colours and wheel designs are also available. Beyond that, the Pacifica retains essentially the same looks. Incidentally, a power rear liftgate with adjustable height is now standard on all models.Unfortunately, Chrysler hasn't released any interior photos yet. What we do know is that the new logo adorns the steering wheel and that interior accents have been updated across the line. The top-line Pacifica Pinnacle debuts an exclusive Blue Agave interior and new finishes throughout including Copper Alloy accent bezels. The seat design has also been revised for a more upscale appearance.Standard equipment includes leather‑faced seats, an all‑black interior theme, Super Console, second‑row sunshades, three‑zone automatic temperature control, heated front seats, heated steering wheel and remote start. The Uconnect 5 infotainment system continues to power a 10.1‑inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.Photo: Stellantis
On the safety front, the Safety Sphere Package has been enhanced with Turn Signal-activated Blind Spot View and ParkSense-based Camera Activation to increase driver visibility. Speaking of options, the Uconnect Theatre Package has been decoupled from the newly named Family Tech Group, allowing families to choose the features they like best such as Amazon Fire TV built-in, FamCAM interior camera monitoring and premium audio. There are no changes under the hood, mind you. The 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 (287 horsepower, 262 lb-ft of torque) is carried over. Ditto for available all-wheel drive on Select and Limited models. The Pacifica Hybrid is no longer part of the picture since Stellantis recently discontinued all its plug-in hybrids in North America. Chrysler once promised a fully electric Pacifica, saying it would follow the gasoline-powered 2027 Pacifica, but don’t hold your breath.Photo: Marc Lachapelle
The 2027 Chrysler Pacifica is expected to arrive at dealerships this summer from the Windsor, Ontario plant, which recently added a third shift. Canadian pricing will be announced closer to launch, but orders are already being accepted. For the record, the current 2026 model ranges from $54,400 to $77,400 (MSRP). The more affordable and less sophisticated Grand Caravan will soldier on for 2027.
