Terrifying bodycam shows moment cops take down Islamist gunman who opened fire at Austin bar
Terrifying bodycam footage showed the haunting moment that the gunman who opened fire on a bar in Austin was taken down by police. Ndiaga Diagne, 53, an ex-New York City resident and US citizen originally from Senegal, was identified as the alleged gunman in the shooting that killed three and injured over a dozen. In footage from a responding officer's bodycam, people were seen running from the scene and sheltering behind cars as the gunman ran rampant on Sunday at around 2am. The officer, with his gun held at the ready, approached the gunman before firing four shots and immobilizing him once he had continued to open fire. 'Where is he? Where is he,' the officer asked witnesses before announcing that shots had been fired. 'The suspect is down...Stop moving! Stop moving! Don't move.' The alleged gunman Diagne was seen lying on the floor with a rifle out of his hands on the ground near him. Diagne, who had been wearing a 'Property of Allah' hoodie, was seen rolling away from his gun before he lay still on the road, video showed. No matter how old you get, or how much taller than me you are, you will always be my little brother,' he continued. 'I know I drove you crazy at times, but nothing will ever compare to getting to be your brother — getting to be your mentor (even when you didn’t want it), and getting to be there to pick you up when you were down (and humble you when you needed it).' Ryder Harrington was identified by his fraternity brothers at Texas Tech University on Monday after he was shot the day before Savitha Shan, 21, was the second victim of a shooting in Austin in the early hours of Sunday when the gunman opened fire on a packed bar Jorge Pederson - whose nickname was 'Trap Jorge' - was an amateur mixed martial artist whose first professional fight was scheduled for May 16, he posted to Instagram just last week'I don’t think life will ever feel normal again. Another one of her teachers' described her as 'sweet, smart, kind, curious, [and] beautiful.' Pederson's cousin wrote: 'Jorge Munoz-Pederson your life was taken too soon. You will always be in our hearts.' According to Pederson's gym, he was an MMA fighter who was visiting Austin and prepping for his next fight on May 16. 'In his short time with the team, Jorge was completely devoid of ego and showed every sign of being an exceptional teammate. As Walker Nunez said, he was going to make our room a lot better,' the post on Facebook said.
