Picture Credit: DreamWorks Television Good news for fans of DreamWorks Animation’s most lovable rogues: The Bad Guys: Breaking In is officially returning for a second season on Netflix under a new title: The Bad Guys: The Series. Following the success of the first season—which served as a prequel to the hit 2022 feature film—Mr. Wolf and his crew are leveling up from petty crooks to legendary evildoers. The first season featured in the Netflix kids top 10s in 33 countries and spent 14 days in the US top 10s. Better still, the series cracked the weekly global top 10 most-watched series for the week of Nov 2 to Nov 9, 2025, with 9.2M hours watched, equating to 2.4M views. By the end of the year, the series had reached 21.9M hours watched, equating to 5.7M views.  Here is everything you need to know about the upcoming season, including what to expect from the plot, the returning cast, and when it will be hitting your screens. When will ‘The Bad Guys: Breaking In’ Season 2 be on Netflix? As first revealed by Collider, Netflix has confirmed that The Bad Guys: Breaking In Season 2 will premiere globally on April 2nd, 2026. The release comes at a perfect time for the franchise on Netflix. As we’ve previously reported, the movie sequel, The Bad Guys 2, is scheduled to arrive on Netflix on March 21st. The first movie is also available to stream on Netflix US right now, alongside holiday specials A Very Bad Holiday and Haunted Heist, which are already streaming globally. Netflix will carry the second movie as part of its first-window deal with Universal, where the movie first heads to Peacock after its theatrical run for 4 months, then to Netflix for 10 months, and then back to Peacock for a further 4 months.  What to expect from Season 2 of The Bad Guys: The Series While Season 1 focused on the gang’s rise to infamy, Season 2 sees them dealing with the perks (and pitfalls) of being “big shots.” According to the official synopsis and new details shared via Collider, the crew has moved into a “snazzy new evil lair” to better facilitate their creative heists. However, it’s not all smooth sailing. This season, they will face Mr. Wolf’s old mentor re-emerges, bringing along plenty of mischief. That’s in addition to old foes resurfacing and a brand-new vigilante arriving in the city with a goal of ending all crime. To save “crime-kind,” the Bad Guys must step up to protect their way of life. The official synopsis for season 2 reads: “The Bad Guys are back, and they’ve made quite the name for themselves. Can the crew keep their record‑breaking crime streak alive, or will everything skid off the rails?” Who is in the voice cast for Season 2? As we covered the first time around, the television series and the season specials feature a different voice cast than the feature film, but the entire Season 1 ensemble is set to return for the second outing: Michael Godere as Mr. Wolf (replacing Sam Rockwell) Chris Diamantopoulos as Mr. Snake (replacing Marc Maron) Ezekiel Ajeigbe as Mr. Shark (replacing Craig Robinson) Raul Ceballos as Mr. Piranha (replacing Anthony Ramos) Mallory Low as Ms. Tarantula (replacing Awkwafina) Zehra Fazal as Tiffany Fluffit Patton Oswalt as Mr. Wigglesworth Kate Mulgrew as Serpentina The series continues to be led by executive producers Bret Haaland and Katherine Nolfi.
