Netflix New Releases: March 2026
Man mountain Alan Ritchson meting out some punishment; Rachel Weisz and Leo Woodall locked in a steamy, but completely inappropriate, tryst; the return of Luffy and Straw Hats crew; the sunny comfort of Virgin River; Cillian Murphy once again donning Tommy Shelby’s cloth cap; and a double helping of exclusive BTS content are among the highlights of the new film and TV series launching on in March.
Arguably Netflix’s big movie launch for March is Patrick Hughes’ War Machine. Now! Hold up! Isn’t there another Netflix movie called War Machine? Starring A-lister Brad Pitt, no less? Well, yes, but it’s not that War Machine, it’s a different War Machine. Seriously, it’s not that big a deal to call this new movie something else guys. But we digress. This new War Machine is a sci-fi drama starring monster-of-a-man Alan Ritchson (yes, it’s Reacher!). The synopsis reads, “During the final stage of US Army Ranger selection, an elite team’s training exercise turns into a fight for survival against an unimaginable threat.” All very intriguing and this one is sure to please both action and sci-fi fans. The cast also includes Dennis Quaid, Stephan James, Jai Courtney, Esai Morales, Keiynan Lonsdale and Daniel Webber.

On March 5, things get rather steamy with the debut of the limited series Vladimir. Starring Oscar-winner Rachel Weisz and rising British actor Leo Woodall, the dramedy is an adaptation of Julia May Jonas’ book of the same name. The synopsis reads, “When a passionate but reckless professor’s world begins to unravel, she finds herself dangerously fixated on her magnetic new colleague.” The series has already garnered buzz for the breathless production images, trailers and one leaving-nothing-to-the-imagination poster, so expect Vladimir to be the talk of social media when it drops. The cast also includes John Slattery, Ellen Robertson and Jessica Henwick.
Nakamas! One Piece is back with a new adventure on March 10. The second season of the breakout live-action series, based on the globally popular manga of the same name, will see, according the synopsis, “Luffy and the Straw Hats set sail for the extraordinary Grand Line—a legendary stretch of sea where danger and wonder await at every turn.” The main cast, including Iñaki Godoy, Emily Rudd, Mackenyu, Vincent Regan, Jeff Ward, Morgan Davies, Jacob Romero Gibson and Taz Skylar, all return with new additions Daniel Lasker, Camrus Johnson, Jazzara Jaslyn, David Dastmalchian, Joe Manganiello, Lera Abova, Katey Sagal and Mikaela Hoover as Tony Tony Chopper joining the fun.
Moms (and some dads) rejoice! Season 7 of Virgin River debuts on Netflix on March 12. The romance drama, a consistent ratings monster for the streamer, will take us all back to comforting world created by author Robyn Carr, where the sun always seems to shine, love is always in the air and nothing too terrible ever happens. The season 7 cast is led, once again, by Alexandra Breckenridge as Mel and Kiwi national treasure Martin Henderson as Jack and all the regulars return. New additions include Sara Canning, Cody Kearsley and Austin Nichols.
On March 20, by order of the Peaky Blinders, Tommy Shelby returns to Birmingham (and Netflix) for a new feature length entry in the immensely popular British series. In Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, Oscar-winner Cillian Murphy once again plays the gangster in a film directed by Tom Harper and written by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight. The film takes place in 1940, with Birmingham in the midst of WWII, and Tommy return from his exile to help his family. The insane cast also includes Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, Sophie Rundle, Barry Keoghan and always amazing Stephen Graham.
