UK will not take offensive action against Iran, says Starmer
Prime Minister Keir Starmer told MPs that he “does not believe in regime change from the skies”.
But after angering Donald Trump by telling him the UK would not take part in his military offensive against Iran, Starmer said that he would allow US planes to use UK bases for “defensive” missions.
And he said rapid deployment teams were being sent to the Gulf to support British nationals sheltering there.
