Ray D’Arcy to return to broadcasting with new podcast
Ray D'Arcy pictured with his wife Jenny Kelly, who announced the news on social media today.Presenter Ray D’Arcy will return to broadcasting next week with a new podcast, Ray D’Arcy Daily.The podcast, which will be released Monday to Friday, features conversations with D’Arcy’s family and friends.It was his wife, Jenny Kelly who shared the news on social media earlier today, as she shared the podcast preview trailer, where D’Arcy says that his return to broadcasting was “inevitable.” Jenny Kelly was co-host of the Jenny and Mairéad Show, a podcast with fellow presenter Mairéad Ronan, and previously worked alongside her husband, on Today FM.D'Arcy’s shock departure from RTÉ came in October 2025, news which sent shockwaves through RTÉ radio.News in 90 seconds - Monday, March 2D’Arcy (61) released a statement at the time, and said that he was “hugely disappointed” with RTÉ management regarding how his departure from Radio 1 was handled.“I’ve been with Radio 1 for the past 11 years. In that time I have worked with some brilliant people. I want to thank them. I also want to thank all the regulars on the show, the guests and the wonderful loyal listeners,” his statement read.His departure was the first step in what transpired to be a massive shake-up in the daytime schedule.The first episode of Ray D’Arcy Daily will be released on Monday, March 9.
