Steel Leaf Brewing Company to close at end of February

Steel Leaf Brewing has announced plans to close its doors at the end of this month. The brewery, located at 1488 Hertel Ave., will close on Feb. 28. “After much reflection, and long conversations with family and friends, we’ve made the decision to close Steel Leaf Brewing Company,” the brewery said in a statement. “The current climate has shifted in ways that make continuing forward no longer the right path for our family. This decision was not made lightly. It comes with heavy hearts, but also with deep gratitude.” The brewery will host a Final Farewell Party on Feb. 28 with live music from DJ Looney Tunes. "This place has been more than a brewery. It has been a dream brought to life. A gathering hall. A stage for music and trivia. A refuge on cold Buffalo nights. A home for laughter, first dates, game nights, celebrations, and quiet pints at the bar," the brewery continued. "To our staff, past and present, thank you for believing in the vision and bringing it to life every day. To our regulars, you became friends. To our community, you gave this place meaning. This isn’t goodbye to the people. It’s just the closing of a storied chapter." Steel Leaf opened in 2022 in Williamsville at the Eastern Hills Mall before moving to their current location on Hertel.
