High-end apartments replace Dublin's oldest restaurant
One of Dublin's most salubrious restaurant venues is about to go under the hammer after being transformed into homes.
The Beaufield Mews restaurant closed its doors in 2019 after 70 years, and an astonishing client list that included Hollywood Royalty, Presidents, and many a celebrity wedding including Marian Keyes.
In 2025, the spot was acquired by builder Brian M Durkin & Co, who replaced the existing structure with a series of apartments.

The end result is 30 one, two and three-bedroom apartments with an A rating, which will hit the market in the coming weeks.
The apartments will be contained in a four-story property that breaks down into nine one-bedroom, 18 two-bedroom and three three bedroom appartments with each having access to a balcony or terrace.
No price point for the apartment has been agreed, but the Irish Times reports that they are expected to start from just over €500,000.
According to the outlet, the penthouse-level units come with large, south-facing terraces.

The apartments on the ground floor will have private, own-door access, while upper-floor units can be accessed from an external walkway.
The apartment block also features car parking spots, with further storage for bikes and bin refuge.
The location is a stone's throw away from the Stillorgan Shopping Centre with good transport links to the city centre.
