Currys renew partnership with Munster Rugby
Electronics retailer Currys has renewed its partnership with Munster Rugby, extending its role as the province’s Official Technology Supplier for a further two seasons.
The agreement, first established in 2021, will see Currys continue to supply a broad suite of technology to Munster’s High-Performance Centre as the club looks to maintain its competitive edge both on and off the pitch.
Under the renewed deal, Currys will provide MacBooks and iPads to support coaching, performance analysis and day-to-day operations.
LG speakers and LG and Samsung televisions will be used for video review sessions, team meetings and immersive match analysis. Microsoft Copilot-enabled laptops are also being rolled out to help streamline workflows and generate performance insights across departments.
Training analysis will be further enhanced through the use of DJI drones and GoPro cameras, capturing multi-angle footage that can be synchronised with GPS tracking software to deliver detailed breakdowns of individual and team performance.
Off the field, NINJA blenders will support player nutrition and recovery programmes throughout the season.
The partnership renewal was marked at Thomond Park, where Munster players Calvin Nash, Paddy Patterson and Tony Butler joined Keith McMahon, General Manager at Currys Limerick, and Craig Kelly, Sales Manager at Currys Limerick, to launch the next phase of the collaboration.
Hannah Armstrong, Brand Manager at Currys, said the retailer is proud to continue backing one of Ireland’s leading rugby organisations.
She said the technology supplied plays a central role in supporting team development and maintaining a competitive advantage, adding that Currys is focused on delivering innovation that helps drive success.
George Murray, Lead Performance Analyst and Technical Coach at Munster Rugby, said the partnership has enabled the province to remain at the forefront of performance technology.

He noted that the range of products provided by Currys is used across multiple departments, helping the organisation pursue marginal gains in preparation, analysis and recovery.
As the agreement enters its next chapter, both organisations said they will continue working together to leverage advanced technology to enhance performance and insight, reinforcing the growing intersection between elite sport and digital innovation in Ireland.
