It’s time for an almighty Porsche head-to-head!
We’ve got our hands on the infamous GT2 RS 991 generation, and it’s going up against a Carrera T 992.2 generation! However, this is no normal Carrera T, and the GT2 may have met its match! So let’s check out the stats…
Starting with the GT2 RS, it’s powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbo flat-six, and this generates 700hp and 750Nm. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch, and it tips the scales at 1,470kg. When it was first released, it cost £229,000, but in 2026, it’s valued at around £400,000!
Then we come to the Carrera T. It’s equipped with a 3-litre twin-turbo flat-six, and this usually creates 394hp and 450Nm. However, it’s had a serious tune applied to it, and it now puts down an eye-watering 791hp and 813Nm! All this power is sent to the rear wheels only via a 6-speed manual, and it weighs in at 1,490kg. The cost of the car and the tune combined is £160,000.
So the newer Carrera T is well up on power, but it’s a manual! Will that prove decisive? There’s only one way to find out for sure… LET’S RACE!
