Four changes to the Kerry starting fifteen for Galway test
Graham O’Sullivan makes a first appearance of the year at half-back, replacing the injured Mike Breen
The All-Ireland winning half-back returns to the side at half-back on this occasion, indirectly replacing Mike Breen who misses out having picked up a knock in the previous round against Donegal, in one of four changes from the starting fifteen last time out.The Kingdom have also welcomed back David Clifford to the starting fifteen after illness ruled him out of the trip to Ballyshannon earlier this month. All-Ireland winners Mark O’Shea of Dr Crokes, and Paul Murphy of Rathmore also feature on a match-day 26 for the first time this term.Joe O’Connor, meanwhile, moves to midfield in the absence of Seán O’Brien, who was another injury worry from the Kingdom’s trip to Donegal. Liam Smith returns to the side alongside him, with Cillian Trant moving to half-forward.Keel’s Keith Evans makes his first start of the campaign, lining out at corner-forward with wunderkind Tomás Kennedy not in a position to feature either from the start or off the bench. David Clifford takes the number 14 shirt for the game against the Tribesmen.Currow’s Cathal Brosnan, meanwhile, makes a match-day squad for the first time, with Killian Spillane not on either the starting fifteen (as he was against Donegal) or on the bench.Kerry team (v Galway)1.
