Announcing New Executive Leadership Updates at Reddit
We’re excited to welcome Amit Puntambekar as Reddit’s new EVP of Consumer Engineering, and to announce the promotions of Jim Squires to Chief Marketing Officer and Laura Nestler to EVP of Community.

Introducing Amit Puntambekar
Amit joins Reddit as EVP of Consumer Engineering, bringing more than a decade of leadership and a strong track record of scaling consumer and business products. In his role, Amit will lead the consumer engineering strategy and execution to deliver improved Reddit experiences that users love.

Previously, Amit held engineering leadership roles at Atlassian and Meta, helping scale their platforms, products, and AI efforts. He also co-founded QuickFire Networks, which Meta later acquired. Amit will start in late February and report to Steve Huffman, Reddit’s Founder and CEO.
Laura Nestler, EVP of Community
In this role, Laura will continue stewarding Reddit’s Community team, guiding strategy and operations to support 121 million daily uniques and 100,000+ communities. Community growth and health have been critical to Reddit’s success, and since 2021, Laura has transformed the Community team by expanding initiatives that drive global community growth and sustainability.
Jim Squires, Chief Marketing Officer
As Reddit’s CMO, Jim will continue overseeing the company’s business and consumer marketing strategies, spanning brand, creative, and customer growth initiatives. During his tenure, Jim has elevated Reddit’s marketing strategies to fuel global user and advertiser growth, positioning the platform as a home for people and businesses.
