Donald Trump says Russia has agreed to pause attacks on Ukrainian cities for a week.
The US president said Vladimir Putin has agreed to a personal request from Trump not to fire on Kyiv and other cities and towns for a week due to the current extreme cold. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky thanked Trump for his effort.
Overnight, Russia launched more than 100 drones and at least one missile at Ukraine. In recent days Russia has hit Ukraine's energy infrastructure, disrupting power and heating supplies.
