‘Negotiations are underway’ - Late deal for Manchester United exit progressing
Earlier in January, AS Roma faced stiff resistance from Manchester United in a move for Joshua Zirkzee.
The Italian side attempted to land the Dutchman on an initial loan with an option to buy. This formula wasn’t suitable to the Red Devils, who would much rather have let the player leave permanently.
This was Corriere dello Sport‘s stance, with Zirkzee said to have been keen on a move to Roma.
Time has passed since then, with Roma having signed Donyell Malen. It is Juventus who have missed out on multiple striker targets and they are coming in for the Manchester United player.
Gazzetta dello Sport report that Michael Carrick’s side are considering Zirkzee’s exit once again. This time around, they could let him depart on a dry loan.
In the meantime, ‘negotiations are underway’ between Juventus and Manchester United too. The newspaper are convinced the striker wants to leave and there is still a chance he seals a late exit.
This comes right after Wednesday’s Gazzetta reported similar.
They were confident Manchester United have now opened up to Zirkzee’s loan exit. The Netherlands international is being seen as an alternative to Randal Kolo Muani.
A deal for the Tottenham player is likely to prove complex. There is limited time to go in the winter window. The Frenchman would first have to leave Spurs and an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain is yet to be in place.
As a result, Zirkzee represents a much easier deal, as he is keen on moving back to Italy.
