Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 Release Update Is Music To My Ears
There has been an update about the release of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3, and it’s a satisfying thing to hear coming directly from the game director himself. The remake trilogy is now nearly complete, and Square Enix is working on the third part of the series. For now, there hasn’t been a formal release date for FF7 Remake Part 3, but it is expected to be officially announced soon, given the gap between Remake and Rebirth. Even though we still don’t have official information about when the last part of the series will arrive, we did receive some great news. In a post on X, game director Naoki Hamaguchi showed delight to see that Xbox players are enjoying FF7 Remake’s recent Xbox release, as reported by Windows Central. In the post, Hamaguchi also says that Square Enix will release Rebirth and Part 3 on Xbox consoles.
The Entire Remake Trilogy Will Be Available
The post essentially confirms that the entire trilogy will be released on Xbox platforms, including FF7 Remake Part 3. After Remake Intergrade’s release earlier this month, it sounds reasonable for the rest of the story to be playable on Xbox, too. However, this is now confirmation. Just a few days ago, there was a leak about FF7 Rebirth on Xbox, indicating that the game will also arrive later this year. If two-thirds of the trilogy are released on Xbox, it wouldn’t make sense for the third and final act not to be available on the platform. There is a chance that the game may arrive later for Xbox rather than simultaneously with its original release. This is because both Remake and Rebirth have proven to be PS5 console-exclusive games, even if temporary ones whose exclusivity lasted a year, and this may be a deal with Sony that extends into Part 3.
Rumors Indicate FF7 Remake Part 3 Arrives In 2027

Even though we’re debating Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3’s now-confirmed release on Xbox consoles, the fact is that we don’t have a release date just yet. The best guesses available for now are that the game will be released in early 2027, considering the development times for these games. There’s nearly a four-year gap between Remake and Rebirth’s respective releases. However, a big difference between the two is that Part 3 will be able to use a lot more of the assets created for Rebirth than Rebirth imported from Remake. It’s expected that Part 3 will be set in the larger open world of Gaia, even if in new areas.
It’s already been nearly two years since the arrival of Rebirth. If Square Enix plans on releasing Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 in early 2027, it’s very likely that it will start by announcing the game and at least its release window this year.
