Asian countries tighten airport screenings after India reports Nipah virus cases | DW News
There were no reported cases of the Nipah virus outside India, but several Asian countries introduced sweeping health precautions after India confirmed two cases in West Bengal. Indian authorities say they have contained the outbreak.
Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam increased airport screenings, reinforced border checks, and urged stricter food safety measures to prevent the virus from spreading.
