An Old Notting Hill Bank Is Being Turned Into a Lebanese Restaurant and Deli
Kinz is being opened by Jad Lahoud, Karim Lahoud, and Rasha Khouri BruzzoThe trio is bringing a fresh take on Lebanese food to London with Kinz and they’re going big, taking over the former Lloyds Bank building on Notting Hill Gate. Designed by architect Sir Edward Maufe, it’s an impressive venue and it’s being put to good use. The main space will have room for 130, with a triple-height ground floor, a mezzanine level and a canopied bar underneath. There’ll be a private dining room holding 16 on the third floor, filled with pomegranate tapestries, and there’ll be a dedicated wine room in the bank’s old vault. The all-day menu will mix recipes passed down through generations with modern creations. In the mornings you’ll be able to get egg dishes, sandwiches and a full Lebanese breakfast, with mezze and sharing plates on offer for lunch and dinner. Expect the likes of:
baba ganoushtabbouleh lamb kaftawarak enab with koussa and lamb cutlet – spiced lamb and rice in vine leaves and baby courgettesfattet aubergine – baked aubergine layered with pine nuts, tomato, yoghurt and pitaLebanese flavours and ingredients will be referenced across the cocktail list and there’ll be a strong focus on Lebanese producers on the wine list.If you like what you eat at Kinz, you’ll be able to take some of it home with you as there’ll be a deli at the front of the restaurant. The shelves will be stocked with house-made ingredients, including preserves, spice blends and olive oil, with lamb & pine nut kibbehs, spinach & onion fatayers and Lebanese pastries available from the counter.Speaking about the opening, co-founder Rasha Khouri Bruzzo said: “We’re incredibly excited to bring KINZ to life in Notting Hill Gate. The project is rooted in the food and traditions I grew up with – the small details, rituals and flavours that are passed down at home rather than written down. KINZ takes its name from the Arabic word for ‘treasure’ and is our tribute to those treasures: cherished recipes, generous cooking and the spirit of Lebanese food as it’s meant to be shared today. It’s a place designed to feel as natural for everyday visits as it does for long, lingering meals.”Key InformationOpening date | Weds 15th April 2026Address | 50 Notting Hill Gate, London W11 3JD For more information | kinzrestaurant.com
