Closing date revealed for country clothing company with last minute bargains

Oldfields of Ombersley, off the A449 between Worcester and Kidderminster, is due to close on Saturday, January 31 at 5pm, it has been revealed. Oldfields said on social media: "Thank you to our wonderful customers who have visited us and shopped our sale. "It has been lovely for us to all to see so many faces, old and new. We will finally be closing on Saturday, January 31." The shop has been trading for ten years at its current location. Since the retirement sale began on Thursday, January 15 we have received reports the car park has been 'rammed' at times as bargain hunters picked up deals, including 70 per cent off on certain items. The business, founded by brothers John and David Doolittle, has roots going back half a century and supplied the feed which powered two racehorses to victory in the Grand National. The business stocks a number of country clothing brands, including Barbour, Holland Cooper, Schöffel Country and Le Chameau Wellington boots. The shop, formerly the Reindeer pub, has a children's range, including riding and country clothing and sells a wide range of equestrian products. Popular items range from shooting jackets to boots and Baker Boy caps.
