Two arrested as gardaí search Carlow premises in probe into over 40 crime incidents

Two men have been arrested following Garda searches in Carlow and Dublin as part of a major investigation into more than 40 crime incidents across Ireland. Gardaí confirmed the arrests were made on Thursday as part of Operation Thor and an ongoing investigation into a number of incidents in the Dublin Region and across the wider country in 2025. The investigation relates to over 40 incidents, including theft, deception and the unauthorised taking of vehicles. Gardaí carried out searches at five premises in the Dublin and Carlow regions during the operation, which was led by officers from the DMR South Central Crime Task Force.
