Irish Mirror readers deliver their verdict on Enoch Burke's latest imprisonment
As the Enoch Burke saga rages on, Irish Mirror readers have had their say on whether he should be a free man or not.Mr Burke was released from Mountjoy Prison last Wednesday to prepare for a case against an appeals body due to review his dismissal from the school.His release was on the condition he would not return to the school, but Mr Burke appeared there on Thursday, Friday and Monday.Following his repeated breach of the order not to return to the school, a High Court judge returned Burke to Mountjoy Prison in Dublin after finding him in contempt of court after he repeatedly trespassed at the school where he used to teach.Almost 10,000 people responded to the Irish Mirror poll asking if Burke should be allowed to be a free man, 59 per cent of those who took part in the poll agreed he should be let walk free from the Dublin prison.A total of 5,684 respondents said that Enoch Burke should be allowed to be a free man, while 3,844 people (40 per cent) said that Enoch Burke should not be allowed to be a free man, while just 122 (one per cent) people said they did not know when answering the poll.Subscribe to our newsletter for the latest news from the Irish Mirror direct to your inbox: Sign up here.
