Woman, 22, dumps older boyfriend immediately after Googling his house

Many women do their homework on potential dates before meeting face-to-face – you never quite know what skeletons might tumble out of the closet. But snooping around their property details probably isn't at the top of most people's research list. One woman who'd been dating an older man turned to Reddit for advice after getting caught in an endless cycle of arguments with him.She later posted an update revealing that after doing some digging into his home online, she stumbled upon something so disturbing she immediately blocked him.The 22 year old explained she'd been seeing the 35 year old after they'd met through a shared hobby, reports the Mirror. He was regularly crashing at her flat but wouldn't stop moaning about the racket from her neighbours. She painted the picture: "So, in my apartment, since it's an old house that was originally a single-family house, there isn't much soundproofing. And the floors creak when people move".She'd become accustomed to the everyday sounds of communal living, saying: "I've gotten used to the sound of the guy upstairs getting up at 4am since he starts work at 5."She went on: "And the sound of the girls in the apartments to either side of mine watching telenovelas till midnight, taking work calls all day and having friends over on weekend nights."Things came to a head when her boyfriend began spending more time at hers, as she recalled: "When my boyfriend started coming over more often, he had complaints about the neighbours. Which put me in an awkward place, he wanted to go speak to them or have me text them and I said no."The woman further stated: "I got frustrated with my boyfriend and told him 'you know, you can't expect to date a 'hot young' 22 year old and not wanna deal with a 22 year olds living situation!"I don't know if you realise but this is a normal flat for someone my age..."".She highlighted that it wasn't feasible to stay at his place due to the distance and inadequate public transport links between their residences.Online users were swift to highlight the age gap as a "red flag" and criticised the man's behaviour as utterly unacceptable. However, the woman later returned with a shocking revelation - after investigating his property records, she discovered that he co-owns the house with another woman bearing his surname, raising suspicions that he might be covertly married."I don't know if she's his wife or ex-wife or what but I'm OUT OF HERE. I'm honestly freaking out right now but I just gotta say .. great big thank you to everyone who noticed red flags and made me question that," she posted."I've blocked his number, he can have fun figuring out where I went."Subscribe to our newsletter for the latest news from the Irish Mirror direct to your inbox: Sign up here.
