Mango opens its 24th London store - creating 25 new jobs

Spanish retailer Mango has launched a new store on Kensington High Street as part of its global expansion plans, creating 25 jobs. The 6,673.6 sq ft site offers Mango’s latest Woman and Man collections, including clothing, footwear and accessories, all designed at the brand’s atelier in Barcelona. Fiona Cullen, international regional director for the UK and Ireland, said: "London represents one of the most exciting growth opportunities for Mango in the UK. "The city’s diverse, fashion-focused customer base has responded extremely positively to our contemporary Mediterranean style, which is reflected in the strong double-digit sales growth we’ve seen across our London stores. "Opening new locations like Kensington High Street will ensure we get even closer to our customers and build a network of stores that supports the way Londoners shop today." Mango says London now accounts for around 40 per cent of its total UK sales, with the capital identified as a priority growth market in its strategic plans. The Kensington shop comes as Mango has opened ten locations in London in the past three years, reflecting rising demand across all categories including woman, man, teen and kids. Recent launches include new stores in Paddington, Broadgate and Long Acre, as well as a dedicated pop-up for menswear in Canary Wharf. The shop’s interior is designed around Mango’s New Med concept, which uses natural textures, warm tones and sustainable materials to create a welcoming retail space. The opening is part of Mango’s 2024–2026 4Es Strategic Plan, which targets expanded sales and store growth in key regions, including the UK. The company is on track to open 500 new stores globally by the end of 2026. In July, Mango reported global turnover of €1.73 billion in the first half of 2025, a 12 per cent year-on-year increase, driven in part by new store openings and the success of recent collections. At the end of 2024, Mango operated more than 80 stores in the UK alongside its online presence through Mango.com and partner marketplaces.
