The updated interiors of the 2026 Tata Punch.
The facelifted Punch adopts a bolder, more contemporary look inspired by the Punch EV and newer Tata SUVs. Key exterior upgrades include slimmer LED DRLs, a redesigned grille, vertically-stacked headlamps, updated bumpers with thick cladding and faux silver skid plates, connected LED tail lamps, and fresh 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The signature boxy silhouette remains intact for its rugged appeal.
The 2026 model introduces a refreshed colour palette with vibrant new shades, including Cyantafic Blue, Caramel Yellow, Bengal Rouge Red, Daytona Grey, Coorg Clouds Silver, and Pristine White, with dual-tone options likely on higher trims.
Upgraded interior with new tech features
Inside, the cabin feels significantly more modern and premium. Highlights include a new two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, touch-based climate control, dual-tone charcoal-blue upholstery with white inserts, extendable thigh support for rear passengers, rear AC vents, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, and a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Additional comforts comprise a voice-assisted electric sunroof, wireless charger, auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, and connected car technology.
2026 Tata Punch: Safety and powertrain options
Safety receives a major boost in the 2026 Tata Punch facelift, with six airbags as standard across all variants. Under the bonnet, the 2026 Punch lineup now includes a new 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 120 PS of power and 170 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox for spirited performance. However, you still get the existing 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol (88 PS of power, 115 Nm of torque) in the lower variants, which continues with a 5-speed manual/AMT transmission. The CNG variant gets this engine in a lower state of tune, making just 73.5 PS of power and 103 Nm of torque, but gains a 5-speed AMT option for the first time.
Deliveries are expected to begin soon, with the facelift poised to build on the model’s massive success — it was the highest-selling car in India in 2024.
As the micro-SUV market heats up, this comprehensive refresh positions the Tata Punch as an even stronger contender with premium upgrades at an accessible price point. This article was first uploaded on January thirteen, twenty twenty-six, at fifty-one minutes past one in the afternoon.
