Oklahoma, OK - A training moment was caught on camera during a pursuit involving Oklahoma Highway Patrol last month.On Dec. 30, Trooper Connor Kitch, who is in the field training process, responded to a request from Warr Acres Police to assist in a pursuit. Trooper Bailey Bennett was with Kitch during the call as his field training trooper.Dash camera video from the pursuit shows Bennett coaching Kitch through performing a tactical vehicle intervention, a maneuver that often ends pursuits."Get up on him!" Bennett said before Kitch successfully completed the TVI. "Turn around. Perfect! Perfect!"The suspect was then taken into custody."This phase is critical in a trooper’s development as they gain experience while being guided by a seasoned partner. It is not always easy for a field training trooper to sit in the passenger seat and hand the reins over, but it is a necessary step in building confident and well-trained troopers who will soon become their partners," OHP said in a social media post.
