Manchester United made call for Argentine in December - Amorim departure changes focus
Bournemouth defender Marcos Senesi ‘received a call’ from Manchester United in December, as he plans to leave in the summer.
That’s according to Tuttosport. They cover the various suitors for Senesi and how they are lining up for the Bournemouth man this month.
They explain that Senesi is looking to leave Bournemouth on a free transfer in the summer. He’s already told the Cherries management of his intentions.
He is a potential bargain signing on a free transfer for someone, and Manchester United are among the suitors. In fact, they put in a call to the Argentine defender’s representatives in December.
However, they are now busy with other matters after sacking Ruben Amorim. With the focus on that and ‘various shakeups’ at Old Trafford, Senesi has seemingly been put on the backburner. That ‘stalemate’ could allow others to get in ahead of Manchester United.
Juventus are keen and planning talks next week. Barcelona have also been in contact with his entourage as well. It seems he will have plenty of options on the table.
The Italians are particularly keen to get ahead of the competition. Manchester United may want to take that as a warning, if their interest in Senesi is genuine.
