I love Bernie Sanders. He’s the master of the sound bite and the best $5-at-a-time social media fundraiser I’ve ever seen. He says outrageous things, they go viral, and the donations roll in. That’s the playbook. But when I hear talk about slowing down technology or putting moratoriums on data centers, I have to laugh. That’s not protecting workers, that’s surrendering leadership. If we don’t build the infrastructure, someone else will. And that someone is China. While we debate and delay, they’ll build, scale, and weaponize the advantage, including arming drones aimed straight at Taiwan. That’s not hypothetical, that’s happening in real time.
