Amy Schumer Rocks Bodysuit After 50-Lb Weight Loss Revelation: 'Skims Lyfe'
Amy Schumer returned to Instagram with a reminder to smile at your reflection.
The comedian, 44, rocked a black bodysuit in a mirror selfie shared via her Stories on Monday, December 29. “@skims lyfe [sic],” she captioned the image, showing Schumer with a smirk as she kept it casual with a ponytail while giving a shout-out to Kim Kardashian’s shapewear brand.
Schumer has shed 50 pounds and opened up about her slimmed-down figure via a reel posted on the social media platform earlier this month, in which she addressed the online discourse about her weight loss journey.
The actress clarified it was “not to look hot which does feel fun and temporary,” but rather “to survive.”

“I had a disease that makes your face extremely puffy that can kill you, but the internet caught it, and the disease has cleared,” she stated.
Schumer was seemingly alluding to her being diagnosed with Cushing syndrome in February 2024. Cushing’s syndrome is a disorder that occurs when your body makes too much of the hormone cortisol over a long period of time, according to the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Symptoms can include weight gain, a round face, easy bruising and more while the problems it may cause range from blood clots to high blood pressure and spiked cholesterol levels.
Amy Schumer just shared a glowing selfie, revealing she used “no filter” and “no filler.” The actress, 43, posted the fresh-faced photo via her Instagram Stories and page on Saturday, January 25, writing, “What can I say It was a good night.” When asked by a follower what made it such a good evening, Schumer […]
“Sorry for whatever feeling it’s giving you that I lost that weight,” Schumer continued, highlighting that she’s had plastic surgery “over the years” and uses Mounjaro — a diabetes drug that also results in dramatic weight loss. “Sorry to anyone that lets down. I’m pain free. I can [play] tag with my son.”
Schumer went on to discuss how she’s dealt with perimenopause, offering to “share more if anyone has any questions about how I’m looking or feeling.”

While setting the record straight at the time, she addressed speculation surrounding her marital status with husband Chris Fischer — which came one day after posting photos of herself wearing a yellow mini dress sans-wedding ring. “Whatever ends up happening with Chris has nothing to do with weight loss or autism,” she wrote. (Schumer has since announced her split from Fischer, 45).

Schumer revealed Fischer’s autism diagnosis in her 2019 Growing comedy special, explaining, “Once he was diagnosed, it dawned on me how funny it was, because all of the characteristics that make it clear that he’s on the spectrum are all of the reasons that I fell madly in love with him.”
Amy Schumer went from a hustling stand-up comedian to a major movie star. “After my dad got MS and we went bankrupt and my mom left him, that period from age 12 to 15 was a really rough time,” Schumer recalled to GQ in a 2015 profile. “And we all suffered from it, my siblings […]
Schumer and Fischer were first romantically linked in November 2017 and went Instagram official in February 2018 before tying the knot that same month in a private ceremony in Malibu. The couple share a 6-year-old son, Gene, whom they welcomed in May 2019.
On December 12, Schumer went public with their breakup via a statement shared on Instagram, writing, “Blah blah blah Chris and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage after 7 years. We love each other very much and will continue to focus on raising our son.”
