'Here is why being born in the UK doesn't make you more British': Simon Marks

What does it mean to be British, and who gets to decide? New polling suggests a significant shift in public attitudes towards British identity, with more than a third of people now saying you must be born in the UK to be truly British - a sharp rise in just two years. LBC's Simon Marks examines what’s driving this change, why immigration has moved to the top of voters’ concerns, and what it means for politics, national identity, and social cohesion. Simon is also joined by Anouschka Rajah, Research and Analysis Manager at the polling company More in Common, to break down the data behind the headlines and explain how public opinion on immigration and Britishness is hardening. He’s also joined by Dominic Selwood, historian and author of Anatomy of a Nation: A History of British Identity in 50 Documents.
