Simon Cowell's fiancée Lauren Silverman has hit out at 'unkind and abusive' trolls, in the wake of the release of the star's new Netlix documentary. Following the most candid insight into the couple's relationship to date, the socialite, 48, shared a lengthy message on Instagram, in which she targeted critics. Lauren, who shares son Eric, 11, with the music mogul, 66, admitted that she has struggled to 'share her life', making Netflix documentary The Next Act a big jump.In her impassioned post, the brunette beauty wrote: 'It has taken me many years to decide to share parts of my life, family and work here, things I'm genuinely proud of and grateful for. I value honest opinions and believe in freedom of speech...'At the same time, I've chosen for this space to be positive, uplifting and kind. Any unkind, abusive or hateful comments especially from people who don't know me will be deloeted and the account will be blocked... The couple first met in Barbados in 2004, but didn’t start dating until around 2012. They welcomed Eric in 2014 and got engaged in 2021.Now, four years on from his proposal, Lauren has poked fun at the length of their engagement in a rare interview.During an appearance on ExtraTV, host and Simon's ex Terri Seymour asked if she needs 'to be buying a hat anytime soon.'Lauren replied: 'You mean like for a wedding? Is that what that means?' When the presenter joked that she meant 'for a funeral', Lauren laughed: 'Well, who knows which one is going to happen first at the rate we're going?'
