Thurston County, WA - Early this morning, K9 Igo and his handler observed a recklessly driven motorcycle on Martin Way. When they caught up to the bike as it entered I5 SB, the rider accelerated to 100mph. When the Sergeant attempted to stop the bike, the rider fled and a pursuit was initiated.The rider fled at 100mph and took exit 105A, where he slowed to a stop and flipped the pursuing Sergeant off. As the rider refused commands and started to drive off again, the Sergeant delivered a hit stick finishing move that would have made the SportCenter Top 10 if criminal apprehension were a recognized category. To no one’s surprise, the suspect had an active warrant out for his arrest for reckless driving out of Renton. The suspect also had suspected methamphetamine in his necklace locket and two meth pipes on him. The suspect was booked into TCSO jail for attempting to elude a police vehicle, possession of meth, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
