Alex Eala assured of SEA Games bronze, advances to singles semis
MANILA, Philippines — Alex Eala bucked a slow start before beating Malaysia’s Shihomi Leong, 6-3, 6-1, to advance to the 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 2025) women’s tennis singles semifinal on Monday at National Tennis Development Center in Nonthaburi, Thailand. Eala fell to a 1-3 start in the opening set, but she never wavered and found her groove, winning five straight games to win the first set.
