Bondi Beach shooting an 'escalation' in attacks against Australia's Jewish community

Two gunmen attacked a Hanukkah celebration at Sydney’s Bondi Beach, killing 11 and drawing international condemnation. It is Australia’s deadliest shooting in nearly three decades. Citing two other attacks on the country’s Jewish community in 2024, FRANCE 24’s Kethevane Gorjestani described the Bondi Beach shooting as an “escalation” in a series of attacks.
