Rainfall warning for Cork and Kerry upgraded to status orange
A rainfall warning for Cork and Kerry has been upgraded to status orange.
Heavy rain is forecast for much of the south and west this evening and tomorrow.
A status yellow alert will kick in for Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Clare, Donegal and all of Connacht at 6pm and run until midnight tomorrow.
Cork and Kerry will upgrade to status orange between the hours of 3am and 6pm tomorrow.

Tipperary, Waterford and Wexford will be also be subject to a yellow warning between midnight tonight and 3am on Monday.
Cathal Nolan of Ireland's Weather Channel says localised flooding can be expected.
Mr Nolan told Newstalk: "Certainly we expect to see that heavy rain hanging around into Sunday as well, and into Monday too.
"It's quite an active [weather] fron and it is expected to sit across the country and bring with it, around that 48 hour period, quite heavy and persistent rainfall it must be said for many parts of the country."
