PNP welcomes base pay, subsistence hike in next 3 years
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) welcomed the announced increase in base pay and subsistence allowance for military uniformed personnel (MUPs) over the next three years. President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. announced the increase on Wednesday, recognizing MUPs’ efforts particularly during consecutive calamities to strike the country recently. “We acknowledge the administration’s decision to enhance the support provided to military and uniformed personnel, including the adjustments in base pay and the improvement of subsistence allowance in the coming years,” the PNP said in a statement later on Wednesday.
