Washington DC shooting suspect named while two National Guard members remain in hospital

A man suspected of opening fire on two members of the National Guard a few streets from the White House has been identified as an Afghan national who worked with a CIA-backed unit in Afghanistan, according to officials. Rahmanullah Lakanwal was wounded in an exchange of gunfire before he was arrested. The two wounded guard members were also identified as Sarah Beckstrom, 20, and Andrew Wolfe, 24.
