A24's new horror film from 'The First Omen' filmmakers details cast
A24 is expanding its horror slate with a new, currently untitled feature from Arkasha Stevenson, the filmmaker behind The First Omen.
Stevenson reunites with co-writer Tim Smith for the project, which is set to be her second feature following a run directing episodes of Channel Zero, Briarpatch and Legion. The cast is beginning to take shape, with Emma Corrin, Hunter Schafer, Havana Rose Liu and Sophie Wilde confirmed to join the ensemble. Also in talks are Josh Hutcherson, Frank Dillane, Caleb Landry Jones, and Whitmer Thomas. Plot details remain tightly guarded, but the film is said to revolve around a bachelor party that descends into horror.
The project brings heavyweight support behind the camera as well, with Ari Aster, the filmmaker behind Hereditary and Midsommar, serving as executive producer under his Square Peg banner. Additional producers include Smith, Lars Knudsen, Emily Hildner, Harrison Huffman and Christina D’Souza.
Production details and release timing have yet to be announced.
