Dealers Still Can’t Get Rid Of Fiat’s Forgotten SUV After All These Years

Fiat dealers are slashing over $14,000 off leftover 500Xs still sitting unsold years after the SUV was dropped. https://www.carscoops.com/author/mikecarscoops-com/ by Michael Gauthier Fiat dealers are still trying to offload the 500X, years after it was dropped. One dealership in Maryland has ten new models listed in inventory. Some dealers are offering generous discounts in excess of $14,000. The Fiat 500X bowed out of the United States at the conclusion of the 2023 model year, but the ill-fated crossover can still be found on dealership lots. In fact, one dealer in Gaithersburg, Maryland still has ten in stock. That’s an interesting development, but Criswell Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Fiat is up to their eyeballs in 500Xs. Given that automakers are already introducing 2027 models, it’s not surprising to learn the crossovers are being offered with significant discounts. They’ve been slashed to $20,999 thanks to a generous $12,786 in savings. If the entry-level variant doesn’t float your boat, there are three 500X Sports which retailed for $35,865. However, they’ve been lowered to $21,999 for a savings of $13,866. If you’re throwing caution to the wind, which you might as well do if you’re buying a zombie Fiat, you can score a $37,115 500X Sport for $22,999. That represents a savings of $14,116, but we wouldn’t exactly call it a deal as you’re still leaving with a three year old 500X. While Criswell appears to have a monopoly on new 500Xs, they’re not the only option. Georgia’s Thomson Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat is offering their last remaining 500X Pop for $20,650. The listing is so old, it mentions a promo that expired on July 30, 2025. This would have given customers an extra $1,250 off for trading in a 2010 or newer vehicle with less than 120,000 miles on the odometer. Of course, at this point, they might still honor that deal just to get rid of the 500X. Elsewhere, Alfa Romeo South Miami and Alfa Romeo of Strongsville, Ohio have new 500X Sports in stock. The former is asking $29,055, while the latter has theirs listed for $36,830.
