22 Movies That Focused On Insufferable Characters
Let's get one thing straight: We're not saying characters can never be unlikable. Yes, we know you're not supposed to like bad guys. If you end up barely restrained from punching their sniveling little faces, that's a feature, not a bug. Good guys don’t have to be entirely likable, either. In fact, being a little more complicated than Captain America is usually a good thing. Sometimes, however, a movie focuses entirely on someone free of any and all redeeming qualities. When that happens, it's can be torture just to sit through. For example, “Recently, I saw Vampires by John Carpenter,” u/NotASynth499 told r/movies. “I adore the director, but the movie had tons of problems, and the biggest one was how deeply unlikeable the two leads were. James Woods was just offputting at every second, beating a priest that was his ally and overall being sleazy as fuck and having a really questionable sense of humor. Daniel Baldwin was worse somehow, an actually uncomfortable presence… Both literally ruined any enjoyment I might gotten from this movie.”They asked, “ movie the most unlikable lead character?”
