Police attempted traffic stops, yet the driver took off, “The vehicle eluded recklessly, driving away at high speed in a crowded residential area,” according to the police report.The passenger bailed on foot as the vehicle eluded, and officers quickly caught him following Guardian One’s directions. Officers later investigated and released him from custody.Guardian One kept eyes on the stolen vehicle, and officers followed the pilot’s direction of the truck’s movements until it pulled into the Goodwill parking lot in Ballard. The driver ran into the store and changed clothing, furthering his attempts to evade law enforcement.Shortly thereafter, officers arrived at Goodwill and arrested him with the help of store security.Police recovered 25.9 grams of Fentanyl, as well as drug paraphernalia, during the arrest. Cops also recovered the stolen truck, which had burglary and auto theft tools inside of it, including a lock pick kit. Police impounded the vehicle.Officers booked the suspect into King County Jail for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Eluding a Police Vehicle, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Narcotics.The suspect, a multi-convicted felon for firearm, stolen property, and theft offenses, is on active Department of Corrections Supervision for Robbery.
