Man charged with murder and burglary after 'loving' dad dies in Coventry

A man has been charged with murder after a 'loving' dad was stabbed to death in Coventry. Anthony Priestley was found seriously injured at a property in Tile Hill. Police were dispatched to an address on Aldrich Avenue at around 4.15am on Tuesday (November 18). Mr Priestley was found with serious stab injuries. Officers arrested a 28-year-old man and took him in for questioning. Today, Alexander Neilson was charged with murder and aggravated burglary, said West Midlands Police. He was remanded in custody and will appear at Coventry Magistrates' Court tomorrow (November 21). Police are continuing investigations and urged people with information to come forward.
