Myleene Klass's luxury meal-kit company goes into liquidation
Myleene Klass's 'restaurant-quality' meal-kit company has gone into liquidation with nearly £350,000 of debt.The TV presenter co-founded My Supper Hero in 2021 amid increased consumption of junk food during lockdown.However, the business went into voluntary liquidation last month, with documents on Companies House revealing the firm has £348,096 worth of debt.The Hear'Say singer is still listed as one of three company directors, records show.In an Instagram post, the 47-year-old described My Supper Hero as being for those who, like herself, are 'not so fond of cooking but love eating'. The business had shown promise with the backing of Manchester United’s then-vice chairman Ed Woodward, and chef Tom Aikens had a brief collaboration with the company.The meal-kit company would provide 'luxury' meals to homes across the UK, including duck cassoulet, roasted sea bream, lobster vermicelli and chateaubriand with truffle mashed potatoes.A roast dinner, with options of beef, chicken, ham or lamb, with all the trimmings would set back a family of four £85. Recipe box delivery services have become increasingly popular, with Hello Fresh dominating the market since its launch in 2011.The former popstar still owns a performing arts business Harperbailey Limited, named after her two daughters, Ava Bailey and Hero Harper. However, Ms Klass had to dissolve another performing arts company Avahero Limited, also named after her daughters, in 2015.Last year, Ms Klass was honoured with an MBE for her services to women's health, miscarriage awareness and charity at an investiture ceremony.She spent years campaigning against miscarriage laws with Labour MP Olivia Blake, which has seen women no longer having to wait until after three miscarriages to receive medical help.Last month Peter Windsor, 41, was found guilty of stalking Ms Klass after sending her an air pistol and calling her a ‘naughty vixen’ during a nine-month campaign of harassment.In a statement following the verdicts, which she posted on Instagram, Ms Klass said: 'After a horrific year, my family and I finally have peace.'Thank you for your love and support, especially to Birmingham Police, in particular PC Marius Dinescu, Judge Tom Rochford, State Prosecutor Timothy Sapwell, Members of the Jury and Birmingham crown court, Katie Breathwick, Classic FM, Global radio, Severine Berman and Simon jones.'Judge Tom Rochford told Windsor, who has been on remand throughout his trial, that the options for his sentencing included prison or two types of hospital order. Ms Klass, Mr Barber and My Supper Hero have been approached for comment.
