Investigation after body found in burnt-out car in Dublin
Gardaí are investigating after a body was discovered in a burnt-out car in Swords in Co Dublin.
The discovery was made before midday when the emergency services were called to a car fire at Killeek Bridge on Killeek Lane.
Human remains were discovered after the fire was extinguished by the Dublin Fire Brigade.
The scene has been sealed off and the State Pathologist and Garda Technical Bureau have been called in.
Gardaí are treating the incident as suspicious.
At this stage gardaí are unable to say whether the remains are those of a male or female.
They also believe that DNA will be required to identify the victim.
