Tragedy as Midlothian man found dead with police investigating 'mystery' death
Police are probing a 'mystery' death' after they were called to a Midlothian town on Thursday morning. Officers were dispatched to Hillside Crescent South at around 8.10am on September 11. They had received reports of a man who had been found unconscious. After arriving, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers have confirmed the death is currently being treated as 'unexplained'. Local residents said there were police officers and police dogs 'walking round the whole area'. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 8.10am on Thursday, 11 September, 2025, police received a report a man had been found unconscious on Hillside Crescent South, Gorebridge.
