Off-road-capable Liberra RV uses MAN 4×4 chassis and turbodiesel six-cylinder with 286 hp.
Interior features plush dining area, full kitchen, and sleeping space for up to four people.
Pricing starts at €580,000 ($662K) making it one of the most expensive off-road rigs on sale.
Remember the Torsus Praetorian from several years ago? Well, this crazy off-road-focused bus has just been transformed into a luxurious RV. For those who don’t just want to tour countries, but instead cross entire continents, this might be the ultimate home away from home.
Known as the Liberra, it uses the same familiar underpinnings as the Praetorian, but rather than being focused on mining operations and disaster relief, has a much keener focus on luxury and comfort.
One of the most important changes made is the fitment of a taller roof, meaning there’s an impressive 2.2 meters of headroom in the cabin. Torsus has then collaborated with Germany’s Dämmler (not to be confused with Daimler) to overhaul the cabin to the highest overlanding standards.

Positioned behind the driver and front passenger seats are two extra seats and a spacious dining area with two bench seats clad in brown leather. Torsus has fitted an oven, a four-burner stove, a large fridge, plenty of bench space, and a sink. Found at the rear are two single beds, but they can be configured into a double. There’s also a small bathroom with a shower and toilet.
A Cabin That Feels Like Home
Oftentimes, overlanders are outfitted with cheap, tacky-looking interiors that would probably make you wish you’d stayed in a hotel, or even a cheap motel. However, the cabin of the Liberra looks very plush and includes high-end wooden cabinetry.
Fittingly, shoppers are offered a broad range of personalization options to make their Torsus feel special. The overlander also comes standard with underfloor heating, a rooftop air conditioner, and can carry up to 250 liters of fresh water.
Continuing to underpin the Liberra is a MAN 4×4 chassis, just like the Praetorian. There’s also a 6.9-liter MAN turbodiesel six-cylinder engine with 286 hp and 849 lb-ft (1,151 Nm) of torque that works alongside a 12-speed transmission.
If this sounds like exactly the kind of overlander you’re looking for, then you’d better start saving up. Prices start at an eye-watering €580,000 ($662,000), which is enough to buy a nice house. But the latter always stays at the same place, which for some can be boring, right?
