Ford has issued two new recalls, pushing their total count to 93 this year.
The 2025 F-150 Hybrid is being recalled over a seatbelt warning chime.
Broncos equipped with an accessory spare tire carrier are also being recalled.
Ford’s 100th recall is inching closer as the brand has entered the seventh inning stretch thanks to two new campaigns. One is focused on warning chimes, while the other involves a rearview camera.
The first involves 56,473 F-150 Hybrids from the 2025 model year. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says that if occupants aren’t buckled when the truck is started, the audible seatbelt warning chime may not activate as intended. This means they fail to comply with federal safety standards involving crash protection.

An employee noticed the missing sound in May, which kicked off an investigation. This eventually determined the seatbelt chime may not play at start up, if the 12-volt battery has a low charge. This was found to be an issue related to the Audio Head Unit as a high voltage interrupt can cause a reset condition that suppresses chimes.
Owner notifications will be mailed out in late August and a second letter will be sent when a remedy is available. The fix will include an update to the audio control module software, which will “reliably play chimes during all starting conditions.”
The second recall is much smaller as it involves 59 “Bronco Upfit kits sold as accessory parts.” These appear to have been offered through dealers and Ford Performance, and include a $5,200 kit that added a 2-inch lift, extended fender flares, matte black accents, and an upgraded spare tire carrier.
The latter is the problem as the government noted the spare tire carrier was not compatible with vehicles that were only equipped with a rearview camera. Instead, they were only supposed to be offered on models with a 360-degree camera system.
Dealers weren’t told about this and the company has received three reports about the issue, which can cause a blank rearview camera image. As part of the recall, dealers will inspect and replace the rearview camera as necessary.
