Trump’s Golf Force One Sounds Like A South Park Joke But It’s Real

A Government Services Administration website lists an armored Polaris similar to Trump’s, priced at close to $190,000 https://www.carscoops.com/author/bradcarscoops-com/ by Brad Anderson The latest addition to President Trump’s secret service fleet is a Polaris unlike any other. This armored four-door Ranger XP 1000 premiered during Trump’s visit to Scotland. It’s possible this vehicle would be used in case of an emergency involving the President. Golf may be a pastime for many, but for Donald Trump, it’s something of a signature activity. Over the weekend, the US President traveled to Scotland to make some deals and, naturally, fit in a couple of rounds of golf at the Trump Turnberry resort. We don’t need to tell you that this is no ordinary golf cart. The blacked-out vehicle, nicknamed ‘Golf Force One’ by some members of the media, is a Polaris Ranger XP 1000 in four-door guise. It has been blacked out and has all the telltale signs of being armored, perhaps making it the perfect vehicle for Trump to drive around a golf course in. The whole thing looked so over-the-top, it wouldn’t be out of place in a South Park episode, which, conveniently, just aired one featuring a naked Trump in the desert and a very unimpressed Satan triggering an angry response from the White House. Interestingly, Trump didn’t actually use the armored Polaris for his round of 18, instead opting for a traditional open-air golf cart. According to The War Zone, it’s possible that Golf Force One only needs to be used in emergency situations, perhaps to whisk Trump away should an imminent threat emerge while he’s out on the course. The inclusion of such a specialized vehicle comes less than a year after a second attempt on Trump’s life. Ten months ago, a gunman targeted him during a game at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida. The former president escaped unharmed, but the incident likely added urgency to security measures like this one. What We Know About ‘Golf Force One’ Official specifications on the Polaris are limited. However, the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) website does list an armored Polaris that looks very similar to the one here, complete with an eye-popping price tag of $188,922. It includes an upgrade package from Scaletta Moloney Armoring Corp. Speaking with Business Insider, a spokesperson from the Secret Service confirmed this special Polaris is indeed part of the presidential fleet. “The US Secret Service employs a variety of tools and resources to safeguard our protectees,” the spokesperson said. “This vehicle is part of our presidential fleet of specialty vehicles. In order to maintain operational security, the Secret Service does not discuss the specific means and methods used to conduct our protective operations.”
