G-Power’s XM Wears Mansory’s Body Like A Warning Label

G-Power transforms the BMW XM into a 937-hp super SUV with Mansory styling, chasing down the rival Lamborghini Urus https://www.carscoops.com/author/thanos-pappas/ by Thanos Pappas G-Power unveiled a one-off BMW XM with 937 hp and 1,400 Nm of torque. It features a Mansory carbon fiber bodykit and massive 23-inch alloy wheels. Various performance upgrades are available, with a 1000-HP in development. Even in a market crowded with high-powered SUVs, the BMW XM manages to stand out, though not always for the reasons BMW might hope. Since its 2022 debut, the XM has become a frequent subject for tuners looking to push its design and performance to new extremes. One of the most attention-grabbing efforts comes from G-Power, which took the M division’s flagship SUV and gave it a dramatic overhaul. The result blends significant performance upgrades with a more aggressive exhaust system, oversized 23-inch wheels, and a full carbon fiber bodykit supplied by none other than Mansory. G-Power tuned the XM’s plug-in hybrid twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 to deliver a remarkable 937 hp (699 kW / 950 PS) and 1,400 Nm (1,033 lb-ft) of torque. For context, the standard XM already produces 738 hp (550 kW) and 1,000 Nm (737.6 lb-ft) from the factory, enough to unsettle rivals like the Lamborghini Urus and Aston Martin DBX. Performance Upgrades and a Higher Limit G-Power claims that the power and torque increase was made possible by software optimization on the factory ECU, including adjustments in the parameters for boost pressure, ignition etc. The tuner has also raised the top speed limiter from 270 km/h (168 mph) to a rounded 300 km/h (186 mph) bringing the XM on par with some of the fastest SUVs in the world. Besides the extra grunt, the XM received a louder exhaust. New parts include the G-Power sports downpipes with 200-cell catalytic converters. The latter comply with the latest Euro 6 regulations, meaning that the owner of the modified SUV will have a clear conscious driving it on European roads. Carbon Fiber by Mansory G-Power Visually, the XM has also seen substantial changes. Rather than developing a bodykit in-house, G-Power teamed up with Mansory to outfit the SUV in a full suite of carbon fiber components. These include detailed trim for the front bumper intakes, a prominent splitter, sculpted hood cover, wider fenders, side skirts, a large rear diffuser, and a rear wing. Finally, the SUV is rides on a new set of Hurricane RR alloy wheels with a jet black finish, measuring 23 inches in diameter. The tuner didn’t show the cabin, but mentioned it offers a “complete G-Power interior refit” upon customer request. XM Owners Have Options Though this 937-hp version is a one-off, G-Power offers other performance packages for XM owners. One brings the output to 838 hp (625 kW / 850 PS) and 1,100 Nm (811 lb-ft), while another goes further with 888 hp (662 kW / 900 PS) and 1,150 Nm (848 lb-ft). A more powerful variant is currently in development, promising 1,000 hp and featuring G-Power’s full Deeptone exhaust system. The tuner has also confirmed that these upgrade kits will be available for the G90 sedan and G99 Touring variants of the latest BMW M5, which use a similar plug-in hybrid V8 powertrain. Pricing details haven’t been disclosed, so those interested will need to reach out directly for specifics. G-Power
